The June roses over the porch were awake bright and early on that morning, rejoicing with all their hearts in the cloudless sunshine, like friendly little neighbors, as they were.” – Little Women
This was the #book my mother handed to me and said, “it’s the best book of all, but it’s the book that will make you cry.” And she was right. I related to Jo so much with her books, her imagination, and her writing. Like her, I didn’t want things to change and I didn’t want to grow up. I wanted to be one of the four sisters so badly…or to at least live next door to them so that I could be part of the #pickwick Club.
I looked up to Meg, tried my best to love Amy, and would have done anything to protect Beth. I admired the fierce strength of #marmie and fell in love with the boy next door Laurie until I thought my heart would burst. And when Jo did grow up, I grew up with her and learned lessons that would last a lifetime.

One of my favorite pop culture references to Little Women is actually from #friends bc #joeytribianni gets it:
Joey: Beth is really, really sick. Jo’s there, but I don’t think there’s anything she can do.
Rachel: Joey?
Joey: Yeah?
Rachel: You want to put the book in the freezer?
