September 2, 2025 at 10:20 pmThe Anne books were my all time favorite books to read as a preteen. I’m sure that I checked them out of our public library more times than any other girl my age! I read the whole series again as an adult when I was teaching school. I felt that they were just a little too mature for my second graders so I didn’t read them aloud. In retrospect, I probably could have read just the Green Gables book to them. Sorry I didn’t.
Btw, my husband of 63 years and I loved the Anne series on TV.
